Levanta Renewables, backed by Actis, has expanded its renewable energy footprint in Southeast Asia through the acquisition of six solar photovoltaic (PV) projects from a regional developer.

The newly acquired sites are strategically located across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, adding 9.5 megawatt-peak (MWp) to Levantaโ€™s growing portfolio. These projects are projected to generate over 13 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean energy annually.

The portfolio comprises solar PV assets secured with long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with leading multinational corporations listed in the Global 500.

This transaction, pending regulatory approval, is expected to be finalized before the end of 2024.

Levantaโ€™s latest move follows its recent acquisition of a 27.8 MWp rooftop solar system in Vietnam and a 139 MWp utility-scale solar portfolio in Thailand, further solidifying its presence in the regionโ€™s renewable energy sector.
