San Juan, Puerto Rico — RM Capital Partners (“RMC”), a leading private equity firm specializing in infrastructure services, today announced the successful acquisition of Integrated Solar Operations, doing business as ISO Solar (“ISO” or the “Company”). This marks a pivotal investment aimed at accelerating Puerto Rico’s transition to clean, reliable energy.
Founded in 2013, ISO Solar has become a cornerstone of the island’s solar energy movement. With more than 6,000 residential, commercial, and government customers served, the Company has consistently delivered cutting-edge solar engineering, design, installation, and maintenance services. Recognized as one of the top solar contractors in the United States by Solar Power World for six consecutive years, ISO Solar has earned national acclaim for its operational excellence and customer-first ethos.
Strategic Partnership with Purpose
“We chose RMC because of their deep understanding of solar, project finance, and renewable infrastructure,” said Ralph Diaz, ISO Solar’s Founder. “Equally important, they value our culture and people—the real drivers of our success. Together, we will expand access to clean, resilient, and affordable energy across Puerto Rico.”
Diaz will continue to serve on the board to ensure a seamless leadership transition and continued alignment with the Company’s founding mission. Francisco González Ohárriz, an experienced solar and business development executive, has been appointed CEO. With over a decade in the sector, González Ohárriz is poised to lead ISO through its next phase of growth.
Driving Innovation and Energy Independence
“We are thrilled to partner with Ralph and the ISO team, who have built an extraordinary business,” said Ruslan Matveyev, Managing Partner of RM Capital Partners. “ISO Solar is uniquely positioned to meet Puerto Rico’s escalating demand for energy security and independence. We look forward to building on their strong foundation—investing in people, technology, and infrastructure to bring clean energy to every corner of the island.”
Puerto Rico’s energy landscape is in crisis. Years after Hurricane Maria devastated the electrical grid, outages remain frequent and electricity costs continue to climb. While billions in federal recovery funds have been committed, many Puerto Ricans are turning to solar as a faster, more dependable solution. ISO Solar, under RMC’s stewardship, is set to expand its product offerings and geographic footprint, leveraging its expertise to meet the island’s critical energy needs head-on.
