Kinergy Advancement Bhd (KL:KAB), through its wholly owned subsidiary KAB Energy Holdings Sdn Bhd (KABEH), has forged a strategic collaboration with Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk) to spearhead the development of 29 renewable energy projects across Perak. This ambitious initiative, boasting a combined capacity exceeding 1,800 megawatts (MW), underscores a significant step toward sustainable energy advancement in Malaysia.
In a joint statement, KAB and PKNPk emphasized their shared commitment to identifying, evaluating, and executing renewable energy projects within Perak. Leveraging KAB’s technical prowess, the partnership aims to drive groundbreaking energy solutions that align with the state’s sustainability vision.
“This collaboration is in harmony with Perak Sejahtera 2030’s Flagship 12: Water Resources and Renewable Energy, reinforcing the state’s energy resilience while simultaneously contributing to Malaysia’s overarching goals of fostering a robust renewable energy ecosystem,” the statement read.
The partnership is poised to directly advance key sustainability objectives, including enhancing water resource efficiency and accelerating the adoption of renewable energy. This initiative represents a landmark effort in bolstering Malaysia’s long-term sustainability agenda.
KAB’s executive deputy chairman and group managing director, Datuk Lai Keng Onn, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting its potential to unlock Perak’s renewable energy capacity.
