Solarvest Holdings Berhad (“Solarvest”), Malaysia’s foremost clean energy solutions provider, and Agmo Holdings Berhad (“Agmo”), a leading digital solutions specialist, today announced the formation of a strategic joint venture aimed at driving digital innovation in Malaysia’s clean energy sector. The partnership was formalised at the 6th International Sustainable Energy Summit (ISES) 2024, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof.
This collaboration between Solarvest Energy Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Solarvest, and Agmo Capital Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Agmo, seeks to catalyse a significant digital transformation within Malaysia’s renewable energy landscape. By marrying Solarvest’s extensive experience in clean energy projects with Agmo’s technological prowess, the joint venture will develop a suite of digital applications designed to streamline and automate the lifecycle of clean energy projects.
The initiative will commence with enhancements to Solarvest’s existing offerings, including the Vestech EcoHomes solutions, the Powerbee green Electric Vehicle (EV) charging ecosystem, and Renewable Energy Certification management. The transformation of these solutions into digital applications is intended to optimise Solarvest’s clean energy offerings and project management processes, aligning with the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions.
As a leader in the industry, Solarvest plans to pilot these innovative solutions, ensuring their effectiveness before a broader market launch. The successful deployment of these digital applications is expected to enhance the transparency and accessibility of clean energy product and project development, benefiting both consumers and providers in the sector.
The clean energy industry is rapidly evolving, with an increasing need for integrated solutions that consolidate services and simplify business operations. This joint venture represents a critical step forward in meeting Malaysia’s renewable energy targets, enabling businesses to scale their operations through digitalisation and automation. The partnership underscores both Solarvest’s and Agmo’s commitment to fostering growth and innovation in the clean energy sector.
Mr. Davis Chong Chun Shiong, Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of Solarvest Holdings Berhad, commented on the collaboration, stating, “Our partnership with Agmo signifies a pivotal advancement in our mission to drive innovation and sustainability in the clean energy sector.
